FunnelKit (WooFunnels) Review by a REAL user of FunnelKit 2023

Published Categorised as Ecommerce Stores

Tired of reading reviews by websites that write in bad English and simply don’t know what they’re talking about? I certainly am!

That’s what inspired this FunnelKit (WooFunnels) review – the sheer lack of quality in the other articles was appalling.

We actually USE FunnelKit (WooFunnels) on several websites.

We could actually be referred to as “power users” of WooFunnels – so when we review the WooFunnels Plugins, we have the experience and knowledge to give honest input for WooCommerce store owners.

Let’s get on with it shall we?

A Review of WooFunnels Plugins in 2023

Let’s get one thing clear – if you’re reading any information about FunnelKit (WooFunnels) that was published before the end of 2022 – it’s likely it’s completely inaccurate and confusing in comparison with the CURRENT way that FunnelKit (WooFunnels) works.

This is because FunnelKit (WooFunnels) changed it’s structure significantly in November and December 2020 – and then again rebranded to FunnelKit in 2022.

Previously FunnelKit (WooFunnels) was made up of several plugins.

I was critical about how these WooFunnels plugins were so inter-related yet installed as separate plugins – so the consolidation of the WooFunnels Plugin bundle was a welcomed move by XL Plugins (the developers behind WooFunnels).

Previously (in 2020) the WooFunnels Plugins were separated into:

  • WooFunnels Aero Checkout
  • WooFunnels Order Bump
  • WooFunnels Up Stroke
  • WooFunnels Autonami

WooFunnels Aero Checkout

Aero Checkout was, and still is the best way to customize the WooCommerce Cart, Checkout & Thank You Pages.

WooFunnels Order Bump

WooFunnels Order Bump allows you to add offers to the WooCommerce Checkout Page. (This has now been consolidated in 2021 with WooFunnels Funnel Builder).

WooFunnels UpStroke

WooFunnnels UpStroke allows you to add one click upsells and down sells to the WooCommmerce Checkout process – it’s awesome and was the best one click upsell plugin for WooCommerce. (This has also now been consolidated into the WooFunnels Funnel Builder in 2021 so we’d recommend using the funnel builder for WooCommerce Upsells in 2021)

WooFunnels Autonami

WooFunnels Autonami allows you to create marketing automations using follow up systems such as email and SMS text messaging based on user behaviour – all tracked in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management System).

Autonami is also consolidated into the top level of the WooFunnels Funnel Builder package.

WooFunnels in 2020 vs 2021 and FunnelKit 2021 vs 2023

In 2021 all of these plugins are still available separately. However in contrast to WooFunnels in 2020, the functionality of all of these plugins can be added to your WooCommerce store just with the purchase and installation of the WooFunnels Funnel Builder Plugin.

This makes so much sense.

If you’re trying to improve the Cart, Checkout, Thank You and follow up process for your WooCommerce store – buying just one of the plugins doesn’t make a lot of sense. Getting the WooFunnels Funnel Builder Plugin is not only better value for money – but offers a far more integrated solution in the WordPress admin area.

The funnel builder is really damn powerful.

Having used several pieces of funnel building software for WordPress and WooCommerce, we’re qualified to say that the Funnel Building user interface of WooFunnels is second to none.

Cartflows has a nice funnel building interface too, Iconic Sales Booster slightly less so – WooFunnels Funnel Builder comes out on top. More on that later.

WooFunnels Aero Checkout Review 2021

As a power user of WooFunnels plugins I can say the minimum we look to implement on a WooCommerce store to improve conversions is WooFunnels Aero Checkout.

Aero Checkout allows you to replace the default WooCommerce Cart and Checkout Pages.

In fact – we completely remove the conversion killing WooCommerce Cart page and show the contents of the cart on the Checkout page. This is something Cartflows cannot do (an alternative to WooFunnels Aero Checkout and Funnel Builder which I reviewed in detail – see my CartFlows Review here).

We love WooFunnels Aero Checkout and simply cannot recommend it enough.

If your budget is constrained, and you can’t splash out on the full WooFunnels Funnel Builder package – Aero Checkout is the minimum we’d suggest investing in to improve sales conversions on your WooCommerce store.
