How To Change Your Amazon Associates Tracking ID Steps
I’ll show you how to easily update your Amazon Affiliate Tracking ID in your links in bulk on your WordPress website using the Better Search Replace Plugin.
Total Time: 2 minutes
Find your current Amazon affiliate tracking ID (the one you want to change)
We just need the “bare” tracking ID
Define your NEW Amazon affiliate tracking ID
Again, we just need the “bare” tracking ID
Install Better Search Replace Plugin In WordPress
Got to the plugins section of the WordPress dashboard and select “add new” then search for “Better Search Replace”. Install and Activate the plugin.
Run a Dry Run of Better Search Replace
Enter your old affiliate tracking ID in the “search for” box. Enter your new affiliate tracking ID in the “replace with” box. Select the “posts” table from the list. Select “case insensitive” checkbox. Select “Run as dry run” checkbox.
Verify the dry run results are as expected
Verify the number of instances of the tag you’ve searched for are what you expect. If “0” refine your search, check you selected the “posts” table from the list.
Run Search and Replace for real
Deselect “Run as dry run” and click “Run Search/Replace” button.
Check your posts to ensure the change was successful
Simply hover over a few links or copy and paste some links to verify the tag has been updated.
