This WooCommerce product type seems to be hidden below a tonne of promotion for <a href=\"https:\/\/woocommerce.com\/products\/product-bundles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WooCommerce Product Bundles<\/a> and a bunch of other WooCommerce Plugins that appear to be necessary for something that is actually core functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You won&#8217;t find this video by searching the WooCommerce Docs (which is weird) but I managed to uncover this video which actually explains Grouped Products in WooCommerce really quite clearly. For some reason there&#8217;s a complete lack of searchable <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.woocommerce.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">documentation<\/a> on the WooCommerce site &#8211; so hopefully this will end your search!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WooCommerce Grouped Products Explained<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wistia_embed\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0 auto;\" title=\"Wistia video player\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/mq1e5b77so\" name=\"wistia_embed\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300px\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You Can Do With WooCommerce Grouped Products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WooCommerce Grouped Products are ultimately like &#8220;collections&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They actually rely on the existence of other WooCommerce Product Types for their construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">i.e. you can&#8217;t add anything new to a grouped product that doesn&#8217;t already exist in the WooCommerce Product Catalogue on your store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The limitation of this type of product as it&#8217;s constructed on WooCommerce Core is that despite the fact you can bundle products together as a grouped product in WooCommerce, you can&#8217;t then apply a discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main reason you&#8217;d group or bundle products in WooCommerce is to incentivise your online shoppers to add more products to their basket. Just grouping some products together may work, but it&#8217;s going to be far less effective than if you also offer a discount on the group of products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where the question of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futurestatemedia.com\/en\/how-does-woocommerce-make-money-isnt-it-free\/\">how does WooCommerce make money<\/a>&#8221; really comes in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They offer some core functionality that doesn&#8217;t quite achieve what you want it to, and then you have a choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Come up with an inventive way to provide a discount &#8211; like putting a coupon code on the grouped product page for users to enter at checkout to get their discount on the product bundle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or you buy something like the Product Bundles plugin which enables the discount functionality along with quantity discount for WooCommerce, bulk discount for WooCommerce etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/woocommerce.com\/products\/product-bundles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Check out WooCommerce Product Bundles here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What REALLY Pisses me off about WooCommerce Grouped Products &#8211; Default Quantities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is almost what I would call a blatant attempt to make this core piece of functionality as useless as possible so the extension becomes a must.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you follow this support thread on <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/grouped-product-default-quantity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WordPress.org support forum for WooCommerce<\/a> you&#8217;ll see it goes like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create Grouped Product &#8211; great<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to grouped product page &#8211; see that all default quantities in the &#8220;quantity box&#8221; next to the products in the bundle are set to zero (0).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click &#8220;add to cart&#8221; for the grouped product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exactly ZERO of each product in the Grouped Product is added to cart<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s just awesome<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Face &#8211; Palm &#8211; Slap<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This pisses me off because it&#8217;s sloppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On no other product type page is the default quantity set to &#8220;zero&#8221; which mean that code has specifically been adjusted so that in this instance it&#8217;s a zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Resources for WooCommerce Grouped Products \/ WooCommerce Group Products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s also this relatively <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.woocommerce.com\/document\/group-bundle-products-woocommerce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">convoluted page<\/a> which dominates the search explaining how you can &#8220;bundle products with WooCommerce&#8221; &#8211; but the majority of which aren&#8217;t talking about WooCommerce core &#8211; 5 out of the 6 solutions require additional paid WooCommerce extensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re now digging around for information, there is of course the short description of a WooCommerce group product and how to create one in the &#8220;adding a product&#8221; with WooCommerce Product Bundles you&#8217;re able to make several products within a bundle add to cart on the single click of an Add To Cart button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is essentially what WooCommerce Grouped Products SHOULD do &#8211;
