There are a couple of approaches to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futurestatemedia.com\/en\/using-woocommerce-for-multiple-regions-and-currencies\/\">using WooCommerce for selling internationally<\/a>. If you opt to sell from a single installation of WooCommerce the plugin can dynamically change the &#8220;Marketplace ID&#8221; from which the item is fulfilled &#8211; this is great if you&#8217;re on the Pan EU or EFN Programmes with your stock distributed all over Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A single WooCommerce website could be used to serve the entire of Europe, whilst shipping to customers from local fulfilment centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s the sort of sophistication that leaves Shopify in the dust! (Big win for Woo on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futurestatemedia.com\/en\/woocommerce-vs-shopify-why-choose-shopify-or-woocommerce\/\">WooCommerce vs Shopify<\/a> front)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not to mention the fact that Shopify doesn&#8217;t even offer an integration with Amazon FBA for Europe! In fact, it <a href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/manual\/shipping\/fulfillment-services\/amazon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">doesn&#8217;t offer an Amazon FBA Integration outside of the USA and Canada<\/a>. They obviously aren&#8217;t as bothered about Europe as a marketplace &#8211; so they&#8217;ve left it to the third party developers to come up with a mix of solutions for about $300 a year PER Shopify store. (WooCommerce Amazon Fulfilment Plugin for WooCommerce comes in at a meagre $129 per year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m not ignoring translations here, as of course you can use TranslationPress or WPML to translate all the content on a single WooCommerce store and serve each European country and language as you please whilst having a single WooCommerce Orders screen. The dynamic Marketplace ID isn&#8217;t THAT dynamic. It can cover Europe, but not at the same time as the USA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"WooCommerce_Amazon_Fulfilment_Plugin_for_WooCommerce_Multisite\"><\/span>WooCommerce Amazon Fulfilment Plugin for WooCommerce Multisite<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kicking it up a gear, if you&#8217;re using a Multi-Site Network to serve different geographic regions with your WooCommerce store, this single WooCommerce Amazon Fulfilment plugin can then be licensed into the Multisite Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once again, from a cost perspective, this approach absolutely kicks Shopify to the kerb &#8211; where you&#8217;ll need to subscribe to the third party Amazon Integration Apps on a monthly basis for EACH store you setup in your &#8220;network&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is because Shopify doesn&#8217;t offer anything like the WordPress Mutlisite network solution for WooCommerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Amazon_Multichannel_Fulfilment_Costs_vs_FBA\"><\/span>Amazon Multichannel Fulfilment Costs vs FBA<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s not a surprise that Amazon does charge more to ship items that are sold outside of their marketplace. i.e. you&#8217;ll pay more for fulfilment when fulfilling website orders vs when you sell an item on Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BUT in most cases the cost increase can be offset by a small charge to the customer for single unit orders &#8211; plus you can use the shipping charge as an incentive to &#8220;buy more&#8221; from your website to get into the free shipping band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need to do your own numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in most cases using Amazon as a Fulfilment channel for your WooCommerce store is a stop-gap solution for most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As soon as you start taking &#8220;multi-unit orders&#8221; as standard (selling 2, 3 or 4+ items in each basket) it very quickly becomes more cost effective to use a third party fulfilment provider that ISN&#8217;T Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you need to get your order volume up &#8211; and mutli-unit orders up before making the switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For some products you may always stick with Amazon fulfilment &#8211; and the great thing about this plugin is that you can have both non-Amazon fulfilled Products AND Amazon fulfilled products on your website.
